For Applicants PDF Print E-mail

We welcome applications from highly qualified graduates of US allopathic and osteopathic schools, as well as international medical school graduates. We seek applicants with a record of academic excellence and scholarship who display commitment to a high degree of professionalism. We celebrate diversity and recognize that the experiences and backgrounds of our residents enrich the overall educational experience and our institution.

We only accept applications through ERAS: no paper applications will be accepted. We accept J-1 visas. We accept H1 visas only if an applicant already has one. Our minimum requirements are: USMLE scores must be 82 and above and the applicant must have passed the CSA on first attempt.

We look for excellence in medical transcripts and clinical experience. Although US experience is not required, it is preferred. Approximately three quarters of our 30 residents are foreign medical graduates. We interview many applicants to accept approximately 10 positions for a three year categorical general internal medicine position each year. We do not offer a preliminary year.

Applications through ERAS are accepted through November 30 each year. Interviews are scheduled from November of the current year to the end of January of the following year. ECFMG certification is strongly recommended at the time of application to the program but is not mandatory at that time. However, upon acceptance into the program, all applicants must be ECFMG certified. We accept graduates of any year. We participate in the NRMP match.
