The program in Internal Medicine residency training at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island is committed to the learning goals of individual residents, including providing resources to support and enhance development as a physician. Interns are encouraged early in the year to set individual goals for increasing their fund of knowledge and acquiring the skills necessary for a lifetime of medical practice.
In addition to the clinical and professional links that are listed here, we encourage residents to commit themselves further not only to their personal learning, but also to supporting their communities through volunteer activities, involving themselves in professional organizations, and working on institutional committees to promote healthy systems of care.
